Dear Friends,
Another year is coming to the end.
Team Melati will remember 2011 for all the positive changes that it brought, for exciting challenges, for bright events and of course for all those amazing guests whom we had the opportunity to wel-come.
It was an unforgettable year for all of us but we are sure that next year is going to be even better!
We celebrated the beginning of 2012 together with all our team of almost 200 people as well as with our guests from around the world, who joined us to celebrate this special occasion with a Fan-taSea New Year Gala Dinner.
Below you will find more about that and a bit about what is new from December; a bit about a charity Christmas Event at Red Snap-per; about some couples that got married at Melati this month… and of course what the future is going to bring!

Melati is adding a dose of Thai glamour to the tropical landscape of Koh Samui.
It is essential that we keep the property looking fresh and vibrant to indulge your senses. This is the reason why our team put so much effort into our refreshing process - the amount of work that has gone on behind the scenes in the past months was in-credible. But it was absolutely worth it!
The Project Manager Khun Nathapol and General Manager Mr. Michael Howard, have been working on maintaining the suites and villas of the hotel with a focus on the bright and modern along with a unique sense of luxury of a traditional Thai vil-lage design.
Kan Sak Thong Restaurant underwent the first stages of redesign, giving all the opportunity to have and enjoy dinner un-der the stars with family and friends, surrounded by the swaying palm trees of Koh Samui. And that is just the beginning of the plans for this restaurant!
Christmas Charity Event @ Red Snapper
On December 17 2011, Red Snapper Restaurant in conjunc-tion with Thai Hotels Association (THA) hosted the first Annu-al THA Charity Event. Hoteliers, donors, suppliers and Samui dignitaries rallied round in the spirit of benevolence, for an elegant evening of cocktails, music, carols and inimitable Christmas cheer in the glittering décor of Red Snapper Restaurant.Through the donations and the silent auction THB 158,880 was raised. All of this money went for the support of victims of floods in Bangkok and nearby areas.

To ensure that all of our guests have not only relaxing but also entertaining holidays, Melati continues to add more and more daily activities for the guest enjoyment!
Now it is up to you to choose whether you want to learn basics of Muai Thai, yoga, candle making, fruit carving, go for a bicycle tour to Big Buddha or simply do nothing at all in paradise!

Dear Friends,
As another year begins, it is with pleasure that I have the opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year; indeed, wish you a very happy new year on behalf of the Hospitality Professionals at Chaweng Regent Beach Resort and Melati Beach Resort and Spa in Koh Samui.
I thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you in 2011. While some view hospitality with a mass approach when you have… a combined 216 rooms, suites and pool villas with more than 500 staff as we do, I and our team made a choice to do something a bit different. We made a choose to create an experience that is both personal and memorable, striving to understand each of our guests and create memories for them. While this is not the same approach as the majority of the Resorts, we succeeded on many levels. I am proud to say we have achieved this with a satisfaction rate of more than 90%.
As 2012 develops we will strive to create an even a more memorable experience; one that is based on surprise rather than expectation. An experience that is based what you said when we listened to you, our guests, our supports and our partners.
May this year, the Year of the Dragon, be better than all others before. Along with myself and my team, join us and vow to do some of the things you have always wanted to do. Walk tall, smile more, open your heart and listen to the world around you. Above all else, re-member there is no moment like the present. And I as-sure you if you give us a moment of your time, we will do all we can to create an everlasting memory.
